Ashley: China Mug Pike
Each mug in our Riverside range portrays a fish commonly found in U.K. waters. Pike (Code 306) - Esox lucius:
The Pike, which may be up to five feet in length, is often referred to as the Lord of the Stream.
Mating time is in the winter when the fish pair off and seek weedy back waters where the eggs will be laid in the spring. Pike are territorial fish and each defends its own area, they are most often found amongst the vegetation of slow moving or still waters. The Pike is a predator and either live bait or artificial lures are used, winter is considered the best season.
