Method supremo and reining Sony World Carp Champion, Tim Hodges, had been on at us for ages to design a method feeder not only because he felt what was on the market already could be improved but also because none of the other companies who make them could keep up with demand!
So, after much persuasion we arranged a meeting between us, Tim and his fishing partner Jason Cann. Six heads are indeed better than one and after a couple of hours of heated debate we ended up with a couple of plastic fins stuck in a bit of plastercine with a tube running through the middle! This would set the world alight, not!
Tim's major criticism of all other carp feeders is that your hook bait could potentially end up underneath the feeder when it hits the bottom. Then when you start getting pulls on the rod tip and receive no runs you start to think 'is the bait trapped underneath?'
Obviously, if that stopped you catching, the method would not be as devastating as it is. The fish will roll the feeder around in an attempt to get all the food off of it and the hook bait will eventually be exposed even if it is trapped underneath to begin with.
But what about making a feeder where you knew 100 per cent that your bait was available from the start? Sounds impossible but its not really that hard. All we had to do is weight it on one side by making one of the 3 fins partially lead. Being lead manufacturers this was not going to be as much of a problem as it would for our competitors.
We took our 'design' back to the most important part of the manufacturing team, our mould makers. Fortunately for us Simon is a gifted engineer who has always been able to turn some kind of abomination into a work of art. This time he excelled himself once more and the Bait Up method feeder was born. The features show why it is the best method feeder ever made.

Method fishing has become even more popular since we designed the original feeders; many commercial waters have been literally 'emptied' by people employing the tactic. It has also become a massive hit with specialist anglers using them with great success for Barbel, Chub, Bream, Tench and even big roach. Our Bait Up method feeders are without doubt the most effective on the market, the only problem being that they are a bit too big to be casting with specialist rods.
After constant persuasion from Ali as well as emails from Customers, our product development man 'Damian Clarke' got on the case and came up with a miniature version for match and specialist anglers. Available in 0.5oz and 1oz in our new gravel colour.
